Bob Himmel

About Bob Himmel

Bob is a registered architect with over 24 years of experience and has spent much of his career focusing on complex building design. He has experience in all aspects of the design process, but excels in the area of programming, planning and design. He has a passion for creating spaces that are not only esthetically pleasing, but are also practical and efficient work environments, while meeting budget constraints. To help facilitate this Bob advocates the design/build process. He has experience in a variety of project types from small, highly technical spaces to large institutional projects for private, state and federal clients and has designed over a million square feet of space in his career. Bob earned his degree in Architecture attending Clemson University’s prestigious “Healthcare Studio” and studied at the Charles E. Daniel Center for Building Research & Urban Studies in Genoa, Italy. Bob’s other interests include promoting the profession of architecture in the community. He served six years on the American Institute of Architects local board, chairing the programs committee. He also currently serves on the Henrico County Vocational / Technical Education Foundation. As a veteran of the armed forces, Bob served in the Army as a Field Artillery Surveyor.

Jeff Hume

About Jeff Hume

For over 39 years Jeff has worked in all aspects of facility planning, design, construction and analysis. This experience has helped him gain a broad and practical knowledge of project types, delivery vehicles, and technologies.He has guided building owners and developers, in both public and private sectors, from goal development and initial concepts through project completion, equipping and occupancy. Jeff has led diverse teams in planning large multi-use projects and complex renovations, but can also adapts trategies and studies for smaller, quickly executed work. His strengths include an ability to identify a project’s critical elements, conditions, and parameters as well as providing a product that obtains maximum benefit for all stake-holders. Project management is key to a project’s success and Jeff incorporates an effective management style into every project. Easily adapting methods to suite the simplest to the most complex project whether it is a quick tenant fit-out or a highly phased occupied institutional renovation Jeff makes this a seamless part of every project. Jeff earned a Masters Degree in Architecture from Clemson University and studied at the Charles E. Daniel Center for Building Research & Urban Studies in Genoa, Italy. He served on the City of Richmond’s Building Code Board of Appeals for 13 years and is Past President of the Rotary Club of Richmond.
